How do I get my device to work with 3g service in Brazil?

How to unlock Galaxy S6 bought in USA for being used in another country? I bought my Verizon S6 in Bestbuy USA and moved to Brazil. For my surprise, 3G doesn't work here. I ask for support from the local provider and from Samsung technical assistance, and both told me that I had to ask Verizon to supply an unlock code so that the mobile be able to work with the local 3G wireless data.

Does anybody can help me on how to get in touch with Verizon and solve this problem?

Thank you all,

Luiz from Brazil

luizcamargo, my apologies to hear that you're not able to use your phone as you desire. All 4G phones are already unlocked, however, if being activated overseas, it would need to be capable and eligible with your local foreign carrier. I would recommend reaching out to your local carrier for additional assistance.

Shouldn't need one at all. Did you input the correct APN?

The default APN is LTE - Verizon Internet (VZWINTERNET). I configured it to the local APN provider and it didn’t make it. I’m thinking on an alternative, which is to go to other providers and ask them to test their SIM cards together with a their default APN and see what happens.

I intend to do it today and give you all a feedback.

Thanks,

Luiz
