How do I change voicemail preferences?

Is there a way to change the message at the beginning of a voicemail? Example phone # calling from, time , date, duration of call etc.

That's the envelope information and you can turn it off or on in the voicemail preferences.

I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

I like the option to customize my experience. I’m confident we can work on your options, TJ-JULIE. In fact, Ann154 mentioned something great. You can hear the envelope information by pressing the number 5 at the end of listening to the new message. https://www.verizonwireless.com/support/how-to-use-voice-mail/ Depending on your voice mail type as well as your area, you may have alternative options to have the envelope information play sooner. Just to clarify, are you currently hearing the envelope information at the start of the message or are you looking to activate that option? When you check your voice mail, do you check through the Voice Mail app on your phone or do you dial into your mailbox? What zip code did you begin service in?
