Help with Voicemail

I am having trouble getting to my voicemails.  Whether I use *86 or my phone number to reach voicemail, each time I try to enter my password on the keypad, as my finger gets near the screen, the keypad disappears.  I looked at all the settings and (to me) nothing suggests itself as a setting for this.

Try going to "phone..settings..Auto screen off during calls".  Uncheck "turn on proximity sensor during calls"
