Have Galaxy S3 - was having problems with holding charge and now the phone is completely locked up

I was having problems with the phone holding a good charge then today it just locked up and I am unable to use it. Have tried numerous times to reboot the phone by removing the battery. Still no luck.

Any suggestion?
