I am new to the Samsung world ... I need to transfer some pictures from my phone to my computer. I plugged the phone into my computer ... waited for the computer to recognize the phone, but NOTHING. Looking for advice.

What is the operating system on your computer?
I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

I never have good luck getting Windows 7 to recognize my Galaxy S3, especially after a disastrous installation or two of Kies software. I rely on Dropbox to get my photos from my phone to my computer. Seamless, automatic and I don't have to be at the computer for the transfer.

Thank you ... so much! I had never heard of Dropbox, but I just created an account and, as I write this, my photos are transferring to my computer. I really appreciate your advice.

That's what I do also, but make sure you have the data plan to handle it.

You can set Dropbox to only upload on wi-fi so that you don't have to worry about data plan usage.
