No, don't need a hard reset. Google search updated last night and now all is working again.

Yikes that shouldn't be happening Fredc7721! Let's get this fixed! Let's rule out an app causing this issue. Please power on in Safe mode and retest. Here's how: http://bit.ly/Wvg2zd

Thank you for testing that out, Fredc7721. Have you tried accessing Settings>App Manager>All> Select Google Search and Google Now, and Clear the Cache and Data from both apps, then Force Close each one. Let us know if this makes a difference.

Cleared and stopped. Phone reset itself which it has also been doing since the update. Same issues as before.

Bahahaha....When I try to even go into safe mode, the phone reacts with short vibrating bursts and the Samsung screen never shows up.

Fredc7721,
Thank you for trying that. Typically resetting the problem apps will resolve the issue. Sorry that did not do the trick. Try wiping the Cache partition: http://vz.to/1z6muAY . Let us know if the problem returns.

Sorry that did not resolve the issue, Fredc7721. Looks like we will need to do a hard reset. Make sure you back up anything you need to save as this will erase the device. Here are the instructions: http://vz.to/QqhTau . Let us know how it is working after the reset.
