Has anyone else experienced a screen rotation issue on the S6 edge? My device is locked in portrait mode and will not rotate. Before you ask, YES SCREEN ROTATION IS TURNED ON.I have spoken with both Verizon and Samsung tech support and they didn't have a clue other than swap out my phone. Doing a google search on S6 screen rotation issues pulls up a few hits with other people reporting the same issue. I have done 6 factory resets so far and it has not corrected the issue. I'm convinced this is a software glitch that will someday be fixed (hopefully soon).I wanted to see how big an issue this was so I can determine if I stick it out with the S6 edge or return it within my 14 days and get something else.

I sent VZW support these pics on twitter. they responded they werent aware of any situation. I also sent them to Samsung. Obviously upright it should read 0 degrees as the 2nd picture shows, the first picture in the landscape orientation should read 90 de...

Go get another one. Keep doing it until you finally get one that works.

They finally came up with an update, I updated my phone on Tuesday and now the screen rotates again.

My edge still rotating after a week from receiving it back from Samsung. The work order said "Replaced IC-ACCEL./GYRO SENSOR". I guarantee 100% that it is a hardware issue, so stop wasting your time with Verizon and send it back to Samsung. I would imagine that version has a large stock of models with the defective hardware so getting a new one won't help for a while.

Hello,I have the same issue and i just called to customer service and their advice is to exchange the phone. They don't think a software update will fix the issue. You can go to any corporate verizon store and make sure you bring everything that came with the phone (box, charger, headset, etc..) ill be doing this today if i have time. good luck. hope this helped.

Im not sure why everyone keeps bringing up the 14 day return time frame. I believe that only applies to full refund returns. This device is warrantied for 1 year from purchase date. If you have the issue please just call customer service @ 1-800-922-0204.Each time I have replaced my device the phone call was no more than 15 minutes and I was overnighted a replacement phone. They are giving out "refurbished" phones but I'm pretty sure they are brand new just without the original box and accessories that come with a new device. Im on my 3rd phone, its working as it should but I have also stayed away from the "quick charger"

I have the same problem with the auto rotate feature on the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge. It is a beautiful phone. My view stays on portrait. Samsung rep said they were aware of the problem and it is a hardware issue. So do not expect an upcoming software fix will make it right. Samsung told me to send the phone in for repair. I pressed for an answer on what the repair fix centered on was told it is either the gyroscope feature and/or an assembly issue.

You are having the same exact issue we are all having. I was fortunate enough to get a working S6 Edge after returning my first 2 phones. It is still rotating well over a week and I have fully updated all software. If I were you, I would attempt to get a replacement, but some people are now being turned down as this is a prevalent issue... so many now are trading over to the non-Edge S6. Good Luck.... it does suck that this awesome phone is plavued with this little bug... but man does that little bug ruin the entire experience.

For Owners of this Phone you might wanna Read this I don't know if it'll help anymore but Info talking, Mentioning about the issue is better than No info at all hopefully it is not Samsung might be forced to recall all of the Devices to make changes to make the phone Usable.. That's what they told me too. I just got back from exchanging it and made sure screen rotation worked before then activated the phone. Hopefully it was just a defective phone and not a software glitch but time will tell.

There is an issue with the S6 Edge quick charging system that due to the placement of the accelerometer (helps detect the orientation of the phone) and the battery, it will damage the accelerometer. Not using the quick charger or use wireless charging you shouldn't have this issue. The phone will need to be replaced if its damaged. My S6 Edge is 3 weeks old and no issues, I have never used the quick charger
