I disabled the gps on my phone, now I am getting this.. "failed to update my location no signal"...is there a way to make that stop flashing up on my screen other than turning the gps back on?

Really? I only rarely have GPS turned on, and I never see that. I wonder if other settings having to do with location or location history need to be turned off to prevent this notice.

Or what do you mean by "disabling" the GPS? Just turning it off in the settings at the top of the Notifications screen? Or some other disabling action?

I keep my GPS on and location history on since I use Google Now. Although the S4 doesn't seem to remember my location very well compared to my Nexus.

I'm sorry you're receiving this error message bagogirl. Lets take a look at the location settings on your phone. Go to menu, settings, location, and you can turn off your some of your location based services. The Gps is automatic and although its disabled the system will continue to look for you if that option is not disabled.
