For a msartphone (like your GS4) it's $350 - $10 per month of completed contract.

Example: If you've completed 15 months it's: $350 - (15x$10) = $200

I was wondering the same thing since I will be changing over to AT&T. But if the charge is $350-$10 per month of completed contract I may wait the month complete all but one of the contracts and change over with minimal fees. I am a dissatisfied customer of over 18 years and will leave it at that. Good luck to all those remaining Verizon customers.

Hi micka10,

I am concerned that you want to leave us after being with us 18 years. I hope you would reconsider us as we value your business. Now the early termination fees vary per line based on your customer agreement. When did you upgrade on the line that has the current customer agreement? Please reach out and contact customer service at *611(send) or 800-922-0204 so we can go over your concerns and provide you with the exact information related to your account.

Thank you!

I myself will be leaving Verizon after 16 years of being a customer.  I'm totally dissatisfied with them.  I even contacted customer service to see what they would be willing to offer me to stay.  They originally "offered" me the price break that I can get by signing up with Edge.  That makes me mad that my intelligence is insulted that they would offer me something that I can get on my own by walking into the store.

I ended up asking if they would knock $20 off my bill each month and waive the upgrade fees when my husband and I got new phones.  They refused on the upgrade fees.  I think that's a pretty cheap sticking point when you talk about a LONG term customer.  And just add on to the fact that I keep getting less and less for my money the longer I stay.  I'll be switching as soon as my contract is up next month.  Good luck yourself!

Below is the same Verizon messassage posted here. This is so bad, it is funny. Verizon, Sunsung, Google will not step up to the plate and take owner ship of this problem, but they do not want us to leave. What do they expect us to do? Just sit quiet and put up with this problem they all created. Google, Samsung, Verizon pushed out this KitKat 4.4.2 update without properly testing it and we the customer are paying for it. There is news all over the net about the KitKat 4.4.3 update fix is out and being pushed to the phones, but I have seen nothing from my Verizon or Samsung. I ask a Sunsung rep in a chat, am I to keep putting up with this brick they all created. She said yes. I ask her, that is the best Samsung customer service can do. She said yes to that too. I believe all S4 users leaving Verizon is the best way for them to learn a vauable lesson. Go over our concerns from the Verizon tect below, are you kidding? Verizon tech support has know about this problem ever since we got this Kitkat update.

WHERE IS OUR KITKAT 4.4.3 UPDATE FIX? VERIZON NO TECH SUPPORT, PLEASE ANSWER THIS FOR US.

Not applicable

Like you mentioned above it is posted all over the net, but it is on all cell carriers. You were going after the right people Samsung, but like you can read here and elsewhere the makers of the devices are letting the cell companies take the heat.

The corrected update as you know comes from the phone makers, from Google and then out to the cell companies.

No reason to leave when the issue is on all providers.

Good Luck

Sadly this is NOT the most reliable network any longer if one owns a Galaxy phone because the Upgrade took care of that.

i will also be following contract up in November hate to leave as i have been with Verizon for a while but the tech support has been HORRIBLE that is when you can reach them(I have sat on hold for a hour at a time and gave up i have had them state they will call me back NO call came HENRY put in a order to do some sort of network tests that I was told would be done  in 24 to 48 hours that was on Friday last week STILL waiting

i have been battling since May with NO help except factory reset which did NOTHING to help me.
Henry said i would get a upgrade to the next one up i am guessing the 4 but reading here that has the same issues
