Disable WiFi & Bluetooth during certain times of day

I recently upgraded from a Droid RAZR 2012 to a  Samsung S5. One feature I had with the RAZR that I haven't figured out how to duplicate with my S5 was something called "Smart Actions". With this feature, I was able to set times of the day where my WiFi and Bluetooth would turn off since I don't need them during most days. Is there some way to do the same with my S5?

There is a great app called Trigger that works great for this. "Time of day" is in the purchase version but it's an inexpensive app. Here it is: Trigger - Android Apps on Google Play

I understand wanting to disable Wi-Fi and Bluetooth during the day floyd55. With the Samsung those features are not available. If you would like you can go to the play store to see if there is any 3rd party applications that will allow you to do this. Are you trying to conserve battery?

Saving the battery was only a beneficial side effect. I'm actually required to turn off WiFi and Bluetooth at certain work sites due to the RF emissions. I tried searching for 3rd party apps but I'm not finding anything. Any recommendations on search terms to help me find apps that would perform this function?

Search for TecTiles 2. You can program the tiles, and put one on the dash of your car, like a sticker, to toggle those radios off when you tap them via the nfc in your phone. The app is in Galaxy Essentials, or the Play Store, but you'll have to order the NFC tiles from amazon or something.

I use NFC tags to turn off Bluetooth and WiFi when I get to my desk at work.  I use another tag in my car to turn on Bluetooth and turn off WiFi and have another tag by each door at my house that will turn on both.

Interesting approach to the problem. How close do I need to get my phone to one of these tiles? Currently I'm dealing with a 2 year old and a 4 month old when I get home, so remembering to touch my phone to one of these as I'm bringing them in the door isn't going to be priority. I suppose I could have multiple tiles in my car,  but then how far apart would I need to put them?

You would only need one tile to toggle both settings. Tap your phone before you get out of the car on either end. Done.

I though about doing it that way, but I noticed sometimes I would manually turn one off and not the other then they get all out of whack, and I never know for sure.

The phone has to be unlocked (lock screen off) and NFC has to be on.  There are ways around this limitation so you can do it with the screen off, but it involves that which we are not allowed to speak.

Normally you have to touch (or come pretty darn close) to the tag for it to work.
