Defective charger S7 Edge

I purchased a brand new S7 Edge less than 2 weeks ago. The charger is defective - the phone now doesn't even recognize it. Verizon determined that it was a defective charger but Verizon said they cannot replace it - only the phone is under warranty.  They sent me to Samsung who will only replace it AFTER I send in the charger for evaluation. In the meantime, I have to spend more money to purchase a new charger. - after just spending $800 on a new, cutting edge phone. Is this the standard?

doesn't recognize it???

if you have to send it in, you can use an old charger, just lose quick charge.

We don’t want to leave you with a charger that won’t charge, especially with a new phone rpolk74. How long did the charger last after you purchased the new phone? Did you try different chargers and outlets to ensure it’s only the charger having trouble?

They accessory is covered. I would try another charger to ensure it is not your device (off chance it is) and if in fact it works fine with other chargers then have VZW replace it. It is covered for the same 1-yr mauf warranty.
