Deadspot in home for new phones
theparnellssean

brand new galaxy s7 with Verizon wireless. Works great until we get into our house. No Verizon signal at all for the 4 new s7's. We have to use WiFi for basic calls and texts but cannot send or relieve pictures videos etc. Anyone else gets reception in our home with no issues. When I pull out of my driveway 4g signal is at full strength. When I shut down my wifi, I still get now signal in my home. No one else has reception issues in my house. Only the new galaxy s7 phones we just got and activated. This problem does not make sense to me. Can anyone help?

something in your house is blocking the signal, concrete, steel &/or block construction.

btw, s'7's are old technology...at least 2, maybe 3 years old.

I had the same problem in my home and had to get a Network Extender to boost the signal.

I'm sorry to hear you are having issues with service inside your home, theparnellssean. Congrats on getting your new devices. I know how important it is to have reliable service. We value your loyalty here with us and thanks for giving us the opportunity to help. Many factors outside of Verizon’s control can contribute to indoor performance even in cases where you may have had service in the past. We can certainly get a second opinion on this problem and review some device settings. Please confirm that your device is set to Global or Automatic using the steps on this link. https://www.verizonwireless.com/support/knowledge-base-213551 Also, please reset the network settings on your device. https://www.verizonwireless.com/support/knowledge-base-203894 Then, let us know if you notice a difference in service inside your home. Keep us posted.

The link you used for the Global or Automatic setting change is wrong. It's to reset the network settings, as is the second link.
