Can I move my current Verizon SIM card in my Verizon Samsung Galaxy S7 to a new Verizon Apple iPhone 6S or will I have any sort of issues moving the SIM back and forth between the two devices?

If they are both nano SIM cards, there shouldn't be an issue with moving the SIM card between the two devices.

They are different sim cards and are not interchangeable. The iphone uses a nano-sim card while the Samsung uses an NFC nano-sim card.

You are correct I do believe. I was initially looking at the actual type of sim card that shipped with the devices and saw 2 different sim cards. So while they are different, yes-- they are both nano, so should have no issue swapping from one to the other, thanks Ann154Smiley Happy.

Both devices use a nano size SIM for sure, I'm just not sure if using my current SIM instead of the one that came with the iPhone will cause any issues either during the iPhone initial setup process or give me problems when I want to move the SIM back to the Samsung.

I know with Android phones on other carriers I can just move my SIM around to other Android phones without any issues whatever. I end up changing phones depending on what client I'm visiting on any given day so being able to swap between devices without switching phones numbers is pretty vital.

Switching the SIM among devices shouldn't be an issue as long as the devices all use the same size SIM card.  I've had the same SIM in an iPhone, an Android, and a Windows phone within hours of each other at a time with no issue whatsoever.  If it were me, I'd use the current SIM in the iPhone.

Using the one that came with the iPhone 6S is an option but then I have to call Verizon and have my phone number/service transferred from my current SIM in the Samsung to the new SIM in the iPhone. If I can avoid having to call them every time I need to switch devices that would be preferable really.

There is no reason to call Customer Service or do anything with your on-line account unless you run into some sort of unforeseen glitch.  Simply turn off the current phone, remove the SIM, put the SIM in the phone you want to use, then turn that phone on and allow it a minute or so to acknowledge the SIM card is installed.

The currently active SIM card in the Samsung will work just fine in the new iPhone.

Hmmm. I seem to remember why that occurred.
