The recent download of the caller ID app is not cool. My kid didn't understand the "Free Trial" message and I think I stopped it OK. The monthly price for the App is ridiculous. I had already disabled it on my phone. Verizon shouldn't be forcing us to deal with crap like this.

Did you go online to My Verizon to see if you were opted in on that service. I was and I had to change it, I also made sure it was disabled on my phone so the app would not be anywhere but in the disabled apps drawer. Just saying!

This app is the reason you get both WiFi and 4G icons on the notification bar.

How do you disable an App?

Settings > Apps > slide over to the all tab > scroll down to the application. Select it and Uninstall Updates if shown. Then touch the Disable button and OK the action in the dialog box.
