My wife's Galaxy S4 was updated with 'update_SCH-I545_MK2_to_NC5' this past Friday, and since the update placing and receiving calls only works half the time. Literally. Every other call she places or receives will not work. For example: She will attempt to place a call (via speed dial, let's say), and will get no dial or ring-tone, but the call will ring through to the recipient. When the recipient picks up their end, neither side has audio, and my wife cannot tell that a call was made. She will make the very same call a second time, this time dial-tone and ring-tone are normal and the call will be made successfully. Try a third time and get the first result (call rings through, but no audio, and she never knows the call was actually connected). Try the 4th time, and everything is fine.
Same behaviour in reverse. If someone calls her (me, for example), only every other call will get through. What on earth would cause this?
