Black semi circle on edge of screen?

Hi,

I got my phone end of march. In June I noticed a weird black semi circle in the bottle left corner on the edge part of the screen. On a few other sources online it said it was a rare samsung manufacture error. So I brought it into the store but they said that it was probably a stress fracture and it was not worth risking it being a  manufacture error and making a claim because then I would have to pay for a new $700 phone (because the dot is fairly small and to them not noticable). It is not dead pixels I believe as I can kinda see the stuff behind it just super darkened. It is also not dead pixels i believe because when you screenshot it doesn't show up.

I was wondering if anyone else had this problem and if they have made a claim. Or if anyone had more insight as to what the problem was and possible fixes. Thank you for all your help!

R M A IT TO SAMSUNG ONLINE OR CALL THEM/PREPAID SHIPPING YOUR DEVICE, and wARRANTY repair or replacement. they will not charge 800. its either digitizer or display glass defect.

Hi! Thank you for replying. I called them at their support number (888)987-4357 and they gave me the prepaid shipping label as you said and will evaluate my phone for repair. I'll just be without it for about 2 weeks for the full repair process but I get to keep my sim so I can use my old phone while I wait.

I will update with the results when I get my phone back.

i am happy for you, and regardless what they say stick to your facts. nothing you did caused that. to be honest. im waiting for my screen to implode looking at it
