My Samsung Galaxy S5 battery life has been crappy for months. It dies within less than 4hrs! It shows "Android System 16%, Screen 12%, Android OS 9%, Android Core Apps,8%" as the firs 4 things draining the battery. What gives? In my career, my phone is my life and if I don't have a reliable phone, I can get in trouble and fired, therefore I can't pay Verizon and will have a late payment. Why is my phone dying so fast? I unplugged my phone this morning at 100%, drove 45mins to work, got to work at my phone dropped 20% in that amount of time. This is unacceptable. I am eligible for an upgrade but I feel like I shouldn't have to pay Verizon $$$ because I have a phone that yes, it is a refurbished phone through Asurion and this is the result...an unreliable phone with HORRIBLE battery life. This is unacceptable!
Having a great working phone is definitely important these days, bryanbaker87. It is common for all phones after time that the battery does not work as well. This is due to the life expectancy of the battery from the manufacturer.
Although hearing the list of apps that are using up most of your battery is uncommon for them to be the top users of power. This may indicate a software issue within your phone.

depends what apps/email/messaging/social you have & how much they update.
btw the s5 isn't the latest/greatest technology....i use my old s5 around the house with wi-fi.
