My screen sensitivity is messed up. I tired a fix dialing *#2663# that didn't work. Any suggestions?

There has been no damage. The issue has been intermittent for the last
month but as been getting progressively worse. Typing will produce double
letters, swiping takes multiple attempts and when scrolling a Web
page..like looking at automobiles...links open unintentionally just by
touching the screen to scroll.
