I bought a phone from Amazon paid full price and they say it has to be locked for 60 days, why, im the owner and it has to stay locked? i need an explanation why?

that doesn't make sense, its MY PHONE I paid CASH for it, why in the World would it have a lock on it if I OWN IT?

Did you buy the carrier version of your phone or unlocked?

Doesn't matter where you buy it, or if you pay full retail.
Carrier lock policies still apply. Verizon unlock policy
If you want unlocked out of the box, you have to buy unlocked.
