This error isn't new was all I was getting at. You'll find the same message on all recently updated Samsung devices. There's even threads all over the place with almost in not the same title on other customer boards. I don't think Verizon cloud services has anything to do with those or Verizon forcing this update. Don't think Verizon has enough clout to push Samsung into updating all their hardware so they can push services.

Motorola recently delayed updates because of potential problems and even publicly stated it themselves. The exact ones B33 is talking about to boot. So I honestly think Samsung decided to push out updates and believed they'd just fix it later(which they have yet to do anywhere).

FYI - Carriers don't touch the code at all. They tell manufacturers guidelines and give the premade software(by whatever licensing firm they pay). They don't make their update their own.

Updates are meant to improve your device cjz_ohio. I am sorry to learn of all the difficulites you are experiencing. Have you tried running your phone on safe mode? For directions on how to run your phone on safe mode click http://vz.to/1kOSTSH

Indeed,I had done zero reading on this update and my first Google link brought me back to this forum. In the subsequent days, I've read all the bruhaha about it AND noticed my battery life is now atrocious. Why did I jump to the conclusion that VZW was to blame? Maybe, an equally valid question is why you didn't offer any solutions to the issues this update has created and chose instead to just be a VZW homer and pounce on me for blaming them? Nevertheless, I was wrong. Choosing carriers is a matter of choosing which one (removed) the least.

Turning off bluetooth does not solve the wifi issues. We have three S III's in our household...none of us use bluetooth and all three of us get the unstable connection messages. And none of us ever got this message before the update.

Tamara -- With all due respect, you have been advised incorrectly. First, let me add two more people to the list of affected customers. My wife and I, both S3 owners, both experienced this problem after -- and only after -- the 4.3 update. It is not possible for this many people to experience the same problem following an update, a problem none of them experienced before, unless the problem was introduced by a feature of the update. And it is not possible for this number of people to suddenly require a hard reset when the only variable they all have in common is... the 4.3 update. Please pass this along to the developers. We do not have any problems with our Wi-Fi signal strength or quality, and I can provide proof of that, if it helps. The problem lies entirely with that new Auto Network Switch feature.

Hi, Michelle -

I think you need to look at the sheer volume of people reporting the exact same problem. All of us only experienced these problems after the 4.3 update. It is not possible that we are all suddenly in need of a hard reset or that we all suddenly need to put our phones into safe mode. I would urge you to report this problem up the chain and perhaps have the standard customer support script altered for this particular problem.

It is quite obvious that VZW is NOT looking at any of these posts... and there are multiple discussions on the VZW forums about this issue....  it is a shame that VZW does NOT appreciate their customers... this has gone on long enough... but seems destined to go on for several  more weeks/months....

If anyone comes  up with a solution or a place/person to holler at, let us know.. as we are NOT going to get any help from any VZW person on this forum... right?

What a joke.  Hard reset to annihilate all my apps, data and media?  Sure, will you pay me my billable rate of $250.00 an hour to restore my phone after the reset?  I will assume no.  Thanks so much.

My next phone is coming directly from Google.
