After update to 4.3... "Your internet connection is unstable"

This is simply NOT the case.  My wife and I both have Galaxy S3s.  I updated to 4.3 two weeks ago Tuesday.  immediatly I started getting the "Unstable" error message and limited WIFI.  I thought it was somthing else.  I updated my wife's S3 Monday Jan 13 and her phone started getting the error message.  My data usage was up considerably because of this.  Was this a Verizon ploy to increase data usage???  If so I am canseling and going to AT&T.....

No, I have not done the hard reset and I will not. Have you people read any of the posts here? Any of them say that a hard reset fixed their issues or helped out in anyway? Nope. Actually, you'll find that it was all just a major hassle and took almost a full weekend to get their phone back to the way it was pre-reset, horrible update issues included. Please stop with these canned replies. They aren't helping anyone.

Almost zero issues, none in months, with my GS3. Now, this update has me evaluating T-Mobile's offer. Does anyone know if they force updates that cause problems?

Samsung is the one that forced this update. Unlike popular belief SamMobile isn't an official source, and the not all Samsung regions gave any indication they were withholding the update. Even the main headquarters said nothing before, during, or after the fact of this article.

Find it too convenient to say Verizon forced the update. Yet you look at the Motorola devices that were delayed and Motorola said something up front and center themselves when their update had problems. Seems to me Samsung decided to push the update as all the problems people seem to be happening are everywhere. No one can refuse the update everywhere. So I can't see how Verizon is forcing anything.

Anyway... You'll be on the same boat on Sprint,T-Mobile, or AT&T when it comes to the 4.3 update. You could move overseas if you like and same deal. 🙂

I suppose Samsung is pushing the Verizon Cloud down our throats? Something also appearing after this update. I guess Samsung forced VZW to promote their own (VZW's) product? Convenient. VZW adding onto the Samsung update?  I admittedly haven't kept up on things, as my phone worked flawlessly for months. Be it as it may, gladly I see an end to 2 year contracts and OPTIONS for consumers. Here, or overseas.

Forced updates is different than forced bloatware. All carriers have their bloatware. Out of all the carriers Sprint bloat is honestly the worst.

I was merely pointing out regardless of what carrier... The 4.3 update has the exact same problem. Samsung gave no way to opt out AND locked everyone from downgrading without voiding your warranty(All versions not just the US). If Samsung really wanted to stop this update... They could have... Look at Motorola for example.

I just find it too convenient if you see what I mean.

Motorola pushed a small update to my Razr's and the droid 4's no K.K. but it says it's suppose to help in the connecting part of the phone I'm going to wait a bit see how it shakes out.. If it's doable then i may download it. b

Ouch! That knife in my back named Droid X. But, you know, that phone worked great for months too, until the next update. And the next. Then....a glitchy mess. Was that Moto, or VZW? My GS3 has been flawless for over 1 1/2 years INCLUDING updates. Even so with this update, less the nuisance message about the internet connection and constantly trying to push this cloud app. Updates have always been a point of contention for me and after that Droid X, still a VERY fresh memory. Good talking to you Tidbits. I may check back into the forum in a few months. I will check for your reply.
