How do you stop those annoying pushed ads that appear in your notification bar as an + or a star? I am really getting annoyed getting these everyday, about ten times a day......
Download Lookout's Ad Network Detector from Google Play, then run a scan ... it will identify which apps have ads
There are a few apps that will detect these. Airpush Detector is one of them and is pretty good except it does NOT catch all of the different types of pushed ads. Addondetector is an excellent one, easy to use and catches pretty much everything out there but there will always be new types that pop up. Lookouts Ad detector is very good as well and is always updated. A little more difficult to use though as it gives you information on ALL ads not just pushed ones but once you figure which tab to go to you are good.,
In case you didn't catch it from the other answers, the reason you are getting the notification ads is because some developers have started using these instead of in app ads. So, you have to use one of the previously mentioned apps to determine which app(s) a doing this. If you uninstall the offending app(s), the ads will stop, or you can see if the ad provider has an opt out service.
