I've tried everything short of a factory reset!!! DO NOT WANT THAT!!!

What's the current baseband version on the device? See how to check here http://www.verizonwireless.com/support/knowledge-base-88631/. A hard reset may be required. Prior to doing so, ensure your device is backed up http://vz.to/1p1RUE1.
