I spoke at length with a Samsung rep today, and the words "Verizon adjusting features that they see fit" and the words "removal of Data Tethering" and "removal of Tabbed view of Settings" seemed to make their way to light.Classic move.

I never had an inquiry about Isis. I have it, use it, and understand how it works. My only inquiry has been about the delivery of now almost 6 month Android software and its availability to the Note 3. Seeing as how Verizon hasn't released it yet, I'm feeling like the average Netflix customer, waiting forever for something that has been widely available at every other outlet.

Can you at least give us a date for the Galaxy Note 3 Kitkat release? VZ is always the last carrier to provide Android updates and your customers are frustrated at that. It's a factor we use when deciding what carrier to use (it's NOT the #1 item, but it does count)
thanks

njtechguy98 We understand that updates are important. As soon as we find out the software release information we pass it along to all of our customers. At this time, we do not have any additional information regarding the Note 3 and and software updates. Feel free to visit us here http://bit.ly/n5snpq for any new details. Thank you for your time.

To play Devil's Advocate here.
How do we know how true or what conditions that one user was under? Where was the user at? Did they accidentally leave any other apps open?
I still have 4.3, but I've noticed my battery lasts longer at home than at work. At work I am enclosed in a steel building and I've noticed that my signal is weaker until I exit the building.
Another important fact would be what was running or was anything left on in the back field. I've been guilty of this. Thinking you closed an app when you didn't.
Lastly, the IB Times is a great news source. There story is quoting a single unnamed source.
Now, if Consumer Reports writes an article about kit Kat problems or battery life then I would be more inclined to believe them. They do there home work. They do the testing to back up there claims.

You make a good point. I have seen other articles of problems with KitKat
but there will always be a segment of the user population that will have
problems no matter what.
Though my Note 3 is working perfectly fine for my needs and I'm a heavy IT
user, still it would be great to get current OS.
Hard to tell why Verizon seems to drag their feet when it comes to
releasing upgrades. Is KitKat buggy on their particular brand of Note 3?
Are there other factors that have nothing to do with the phone's
functionality? Is it simply not a high priority? Who knows? It's been
months since KitKat was released and still absolutely no hint at a release
date from Verizon. Since there is such a high demand/interest for this
update on a flagship phone, Verizon's lack of response is a bit
disconcerting. I think some explanation as to why it's taking so long
would be respectful to their loyal customers. A month or even 2 delay I
can understand. But hey, this far out with complete silence is starting to
feel like they don't care.

It should also be noted that apps are starting to look for kit Kat.
I've said elsewhere that come April the NFC function of Google Wallet will stop working without Kit Kat. Also I have an app that I can use to control my Apple TV, but said app is now not functioning because my phone does not have kit Kat.
As Verizon drags there feet more and more apps are going to need kit Kat.

At least we are not alone. ATT has not yet released 4.4 for their Note 3 either. (Small consolation). Still!

Too much news like the one below: As for me, I'd rather wait and not send
my perfectly working phone off the update cliff.
