My main reason for wanting it would be the ability to use Google Wallet. Not sure what else(if anything) I am looking forward to.

Fyi. Google Wallet Tap and Pay is blocked by Verizon on NFC phones. I've
been using ISIS with the free AMEX SERVE which can be funded by any of your
debit/credit cards. Works great. Right now until the end of March, they
start you off with $40! Sweet.

>>>Wow. So much animosity over the lateness of a freaking update which will come when it is ready.
That would be true if that update had just came out the other day.
The fact is, the truth is, KitKat (4.4) came Oct. 31, 2013. What's that, 4 months?
I'll presume, not assume, that the Verizon employees responsible for giving the latest update the green light, work 8 hrs a day 5 days a week. That's 40 hrs a week. Though not always, there's usually 4 weeks in a month. That comes out to 160 hrs a month.
Either those particular Verizon employee are lazy or inept, or both.

I am well aware how ISIS works and have been using it for almost a year now. I would prefer to be able to add ANY card to my wallet which is what Google Wallet allows you to do, not simply a few chosen cards.
Fyi. Google Wallet Tap and Pay is NOT blocked by Verizon on android 4.4, KitKat. At least it is not blocked on any of the phones currently running KitKat.

Be aware of the cash advance fees if you choose to fund AMEX SERVE with a credit card.

Good to know. Thanks.
Wonder why they blocked it for 4.3 on Note 3.

Someone at Google told me minimum requirement for Tap and Pay is Android
4.3, NFC phone, Secure simple card. However, they told me Verizon is
blocking it. At least on my Note 3 4.3 NFC. Would be nice if such
restrictions are removed with 4.4.

Yes. Why I fund with debit card. I had the Google Wallet card and they
were charging me 2.9% even using debit card.

I for one will wait way after Kitkat is released on Verizon before I put it on my perfectly working phone. My phone is working superbly as is. Read this:
