We're going to be really sad to see you go michaeljtimko! I hope you reconsider and stay with us! Have you looked into our Device Payment Plan? This can only be done in stores if you're eligible, but it allows you to keep your Unlimited Data plan if you already have one. Here are details: http://vz.to/ZILXBT

Again, I hope you decide to stay with us!

Thank you,

I agree with what you are saying about VZW.  I do hope if you leave VZW for another carrier you end up with what you expect from that carrier.  I do see some people unhappy with the other carriers but not in the numbers I see at VZW.

That's actually another reason I'm leaving.

I had a device purchase plan.  I had some extra money, so I paid it off.  Now, when I paid it off, I tried to use the checking account on file.  For some reason it wouldn't go through.  I then switched to my debit MasterCard.  That worked.  The funds come from the same place.

Flash forward a week.  Browsing the Verizon site, the HTC One Max catches my eye.  I decide to go to the store and do another device purchase plan.

That was nothing but a nightmare.

First they tell my account has to bill because the DPP does not fall off right away.  They tell me to come back in a few days.  Not happy, I agree to.  This visit to the store was almost three hours.

On my next visit, I find out because the idiot Rep at *611 processed the payment as a credit card, now I had to wait 30 days to ensure I would not dispute the credit card transaction.  I found this out after spending two more hours in the store.

Had he done it right (with my checking account as he started), I would have been in the clear with my next Verizon phone.

Verizon's screw ups cost me time, energy and happiness.

That's why I'm leaving.

With what I am unhappy along with many others is the way VZW takes liberty with locking down customers phone and only giving out the updates when and if VZW feels like it.  VZW locks down customer owned phones like no other carrier in the USA.  I do not need an answer to this and I don't want an answer.  Results are what matters to me and many of the unhappy customers I see here complaining.  I am only here because I live in rural New Mexico and we don't have much choice here.  I have and keep your service ONLY because it works where I live/work and play.  Get with it VZW put out the updates for your customers phones in a timely manner, stop all the bloatware and stop removing useful features from the updates that all other carriers allow on their customers phones.

Thank You, You have a good day AdaS_VZW

Actually Verizon, I wouldn't mind an answer.

I briefly got to see a T-Mobile Note 3 and it has less than half of what my Note 3 has on it.  it doesn't have Amazon apps pre-installed, and it obviously did not have any of the unwanted VZW apps installed such as Navigator, Cloud, and Security.

Android comes with a very nice Maps & Navigation software right out of the box.  We don't need VZ Navigator.  It just takes up space on our phones.

I'm with japetty here.  You guys need to get with the program.  We need software updates in a timely manner.  We don't need Verizon adding unnecessary software to our phones.  Put you items in the Play Store.  There we can evaluate them against there peers and decide what's best for "OUR" phones.

Especially now since we basically pay full Price for them if we use Edge or the Device Purchase Plan.

michaeljtimko,

I understand where you're coming from but you don't have to use the applications or great services we offer. We understand there's many apps to choose from. All you need to do is access Application Manager and Disable those apps that you don't need. This allows you to customize your phone to the way you want it.

That is another issue we all know we can disable these applications as most of us do but that does not get useless applications off our phones that we don't want or use.  Those with 16 gig phones (N3 has 32 gig) but many are out there with the 16 gig phones and they are stuck with these phones.  Many phones VZW sells don't have 32 gig such as the S4 when VZW first started selling the S4.  I don't buy these phones ever but it still don't like this junk ware on my phone,  I want what I want on my phone and nothing else cluttering up my phone.  Disabling of features is another thing many customers along with me are upset about.  VZW deciding we don't want or need these features.  Most of us are adults here and we can make up our own minds about those issues we are not VZW's unwanted stepchildren as it seems VZW like to think and treat us.  I would not even mind if those junk ware apps were pushed when we buy our phones if VZW just made them so we could remove them completely when we see we don't want them.  I just don't see the issues with VZW not doing this for it;s customers and being one up on every carrier in this country and maybe the rest of the world.

This is so very true. i don't even use VZW apps period. only verizon app worth something to me is NFL Mobile. all that other stuff is crap. obsolete compared to other apps like it. I just want the update i mean we pay too much money for service to be last to update all the time.
