Why... Lordy o Lordy... why are people so dang hard headed about this?
"I just called, chatted with, went to a store blah blah blah".... Why do some of you keep torturing yourselves like that? Do you really think you are going to get some new revelation of USEFUL information that the last dozen people who "called, chatted, went to a store" didn't get?
All the fella from the small redneck town got from his wasted time speaking to a rep was more uncertainty, run around, contradiction, guesswork, and basically just the same "no answer" that has been posted here a bazillion times over!
If you've already ordered the phone then just sit back, relax, and wait for your shipping conformation to arrive on Tuesday and your phone to arrive on Thursday. If you haven't already ordered then either do a preorder now and expect it to arrive on Thursday or go into your local store on Thursday and try to pick one up.
I just wanted to add my 2 cents. It worried me when someone said it may be pushed back to Dec. I can't wait to use my Droid 2x for target practice. I stay awake at night picturing how that piece of crap phone will meet it's end!! I want a GOOD phone I've waited long enough, just like everyone else!
