I know a few others have already tried to explain this but some still just don't seem to get it so let me try to drive this home once and for all.
Unless you selected one day/overnight shipping during your preorder checkout process, your order will ship via 2 day delivery. That means 2 business days which is Monday-Friday. So as previously stated, if the preorders ship on Tuesday the 27th, we should receive them on Thursday the 29th.
These speculations of an earlier ship date are just silly but I'll play along for entertainment purposes. If you do happen to get an official notice from Verizon that your order has shipped prior to the 27th, simply count ahead two "business" days from the date it shipped and that is when you should receive it. Weekends do not count. No one is going to get his or her order delivered on a Saturday so let that fantasy go.
I am waiting on two GN2 myself. One is an add-a-line for my wife and the other is a full price (ouch) replacement for my current Razr Maxx. I did choose the one day/overnight delivery for my off contract purchase. I figured what's an extra 10-15 bucks when you're spending so much for a phone.
Starting to get a little discouraged from some of these lower prices that are popping up for the GN2 via other carriers now. Wish Verizon would take a cue from them. We are already getting screwed over by having to wait so much longer just to get the freaking phone. Plus it looks like we are all also going to lose out on the opportunity to get GN2 accessories straight from Samsung for 50% off. Samsung is running a Black Friday type special for 50% off all mobile phone accessories if you register your device with them by 11/26. Just one more kick in the gut for Verizon customers.
