I dont get it, preordering a device doesn't seem to really have a benefit, all users do after placing order is check update on estimated delivery date only to have it change over and over again...

I cant do it, myself...

Next there will be A Note 4 and so on how long to wait until you get one ?

For me I have to get the latest one out there but i am not willing to wait onother 6 months or longer for the next best thing.

I will not cancel my order but when the Note 3 becomes available I will surely get that one as well.

The Note series would really benefit from having a true 1080p HD screen, since it has the capability for artists or anyone really to make drawings on their device - the higher resolution would really help make the drawings pop that much more. And while everyone would love to have the best of the best no matter who you are, I think the Note series benefits most with such a screen.

If you go on Verizon's website you'll see the battery life specs... DNA: 352 Hours on stand by, but only 768 minutes of use. While the Note 2 has: only 250 hours on stand by, but 1320 hours of use! Nearly DOUBLE the DNA! I love my HTC phone, but with a removable battery, upgradable storage with an SD card, a much larger battery, and the S-Pen, I have to stick with the Note 2.

And for people who are talking about the Note 3 or the S4, come on! There are always going to be phones of the future that are being planned and built now. All phones that are released are perpetually behind the times and current technology because of how long it takes to design, test, produce, and market these phones.

Yeah, this pre-order process sucks.  It's just Verizon's way of pandering its customers.

And about the 1080P Note...haha...Note 3?!  We're still trying desperately to get the Note 2.  Note 3 is still a year out, certainly not going to wait for that.

The DNA has low storage with no SD card option, small battery, smaller screen, none of the Note-specific applications...And most importantly...NO S-Pen!

But, that being said, if I wasn't so enamored with the S-Pen, I just might pick up the DNA instead.

It is the thrill of the chase

VW stored usually will only cater to new customer on the new releases. I had that happen to me when I got the Galaxy  Nexus, I went to the store thinking i could just go and pick one up and was told that the stock they had was for only new customers and and ones that are renewing there contract as I watch people walk out with the new phone in hand.. (I was not A happy person that day ) and the only way I could get one was to order it online or by phone. so for me not wanting to give up my unlimited Internet and having to pay full price I had to order it by phone and had to wait A few more days to get one. That is why from now on I will be pre-ordering my phone's

With Verizon track record of releasing this phone the note 4 would close to

being out.

If the DNA suites your needs better, great.  I personally cant go without a removable battery or an SD card slot, but thats just me.  Actually, I could maybe go with no removable battery as long as their was more on-board storage or a removable micro sd slot.  The screen is the only selling factor in my opinion, but it is far from more enticing than the features of the Note II.  The multi-screen alone makes the Note II more appealing than a 1080p screen to me.  Add in the other features, well.....

I most likely will be upset if a Note 3 comes out in just a few months, but that's unlikely that it will come to the US anytime soon.  What is more likely is that Verizon/HTC will release a DNA+ in a few months with more storage and/or a larger battery like they tend to do with their Motorola Droids.

I also ordered mine within 10 minutes of the pre-order page becoming available.

Every time it has said:  "Expected Ship Date:    Not available at this time"

...except for ONE time, it said 11/16/12...But that didn't last long before it went back to "Not available".

I guess I'm glad I'm not the only one that it says that for, but why does it say that for some and not others?  I asked a rep about it on-line, but they were completely clueless...

You're the first one I've heard about who got an early ship date in status. My wishful nature is hoping that is the true date, and they pulled it because of the HTC.

If 1080p HD means that much to you, and is the sole purpose you buy a phone, then I am happy for you.  The Note 2 is so much more and besides, no matter how good your eyes are, 1080p is into the realm on ridiculous.  I am not a betting man, but I would be VERY surprised to see a Note 3 come out in the Spring...next year, yes, but not that soon. Enjoy your DNA!
