Major Issue With Wifi Connectivity
theandroidedone

Bought a Verizon Note 3 last week and have had serious problems with disconnection and reconnection to wifi. I have been all over forums looking for an answer and have found nothing but tons of people with the same issue and no fix.

I finally found a workaround for it. Turning off mobile data seems to do the trick and the disconnects stop. However, this is a serious flaw in the phone. Verizon please give us an answer on this. The store simply wants to swap my phone but I know this is not a fix being that my wife and mother are having the same problem on their Note 3!

First, do you have anything else, such as a tablet, linked to the same router? If so, are they working okay? Second, have you tried unpairing the GN3 to the router and repairing? The first link-up may not have been successful.

Are you sure the phone isn't causing the wifi radio to sleep per the sleep policy?

Not the power policy and I have an iPad mini, iPad, mac pro, and a PC all connected with no issues. I have tried everything on my end. It is definitely an issue with mobile data trying to switch back and forth with wifi. I have read on my lady forums where other carrier models have the option to turn off auto switching to mobile data while connected to wifi. However the Verizon version of note 3 does not provide this option.

Go to your wifi settings click on the menu button and select advance.  Then uncheck auto network switch.

On other carriers you can also dial *#0011# and enter a hidden menu where you can select wifi settings and disable "wifi powersave mode"  unfortunately Verizon has disabled this hidden menu.

Samsung has released a patch for the international version and the US carriers should be getting the patch soon.....

The return policy period is 14 days not 15. The count started on the day you purchased the phone.
