I went into the store to assess my note 5 battery, was eligible for an upgrade and the sales associate asked me if I wanted the upgrade to Note 7. I was unaware of the issues until I went home and read reviews. Now I am nervous and do not know what to do. Is it possible to cancel my order and just go along with my current phone? Who should I contact for this?

Since the phone did not ship out yet your order may be cancelled due to the fact Verizon as well most carriers suspended sales of the Note 7. I would call the store where you ordered it from or call customer service to find out for sure.

It is highly likely you will not get this phone. Samsung has stopped all production and all carriers have removed it from sale. Just to be safe though, no harm in proactively cancelling the order.

Sonny Crockett I think I know where Predator is coming from with the exclamation points LOL! This whole ordeal has been so frustrating. The majority of Note 7 owners have no problem at all with the phone but were subject to the inconvenience have having to replace it which for some was a nightmare. An then to hear we may have to do it for a second time! Ugh! I don't even have the phone myself it is my son's. He loves the phone and said its absolutely amazing and does not want to accept the fact he may have to give it up. He is a college kid with a carefree attitude who, if it were left up to him would still be using the first recalled phone. I have been the one keeping on top of all this for over a month now, making the calls to Verizon and I feel like somebody is playing a cruel joke on all of us I hope this is resolved very soon.
