I Want My NOTE5 Back!!!!!!!!! BEWARE THE TRADE-IN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I traded in a perfectly good (only a few months old) Galaxy Note 5 for the Note 7 ($865). Verizon gave me a $300 credit for my Note 5 and I paid the difference of $565. To get back the same Note 5 costs $795. If I kept my Note 5 it would have cost me $0.

So for me to be back in the same position I was before the Note 7 fiasco I am out $565 if I trade in for another Note 5. This is outrageous. Simply ludicrous. There must be a class action lawsuit here. I'd be fine if Verizon will give me back $565 and a replacement Note 5. But there is no way it is fair for me to pay $565 to "my old" phone back.

I'm sick about this. I love the Note 7.

attydavidh,

I am sorry you have had this experience. I would like to understand the situation here.

From my understanding, you traded in a slightly used Samsung Galaxy Note 5 for the Note 7. You received a $300 Trade In Credit for the Note 7. You are paying a difference of $565 for the $865 Note 7, over two years on the Device Payment Agreement or DPA.

You are now, because of the recall, looking to return and exchange your Note 7 for the Note 5 again. I am glad to inform you that you are able, because of the 2nd recall, you are able to return the Note 7 for a full refund ($565) and get the Note 5 back.

If you have any additional questions, please let me know by replying here.

So anyone can opt for the Note 5 instead of dropping to the S7??  This is an option?

Yes. Since at this time, Samsung is not manufacturing the Note 7 anymore, you can get a FULL REFUND. You can then turn around and use that to get the Note 5 or the S7 or S7 Edge
