My Galaxy Note 3 restarts when I select Power off and when I select Restart. Does anyone know of a solution?

A battery pull will shut it down too.

I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

Graytoppop,

We want you to be able to power off your device and you definitely received a great suggestion here; a battery pull will power it off. How long has it been restarting when "Power Off" is selected? Try it in Safe Mode http://vz.to/1cldSZt and then power off.

I have had the phone for 1 week. I think it powered off for the fist

couple of days. I appreciate the suggestion, but I don't want to live with

a work - around. The phone should function properly. Any other ideas?

Graytoppop, I understand wanting the phone to work correctly, especially when it's so new. It's possible that this is caused by a software corruption in your device, and you could try a hard reset. http://vz.to/1hxzt41  This does erase all info on the device, but may fix this issue.

However, since it is so new, I can understand if you do not wish to go through this process. If you purchased from a Verizon store, or our website, you have 14 days to exchange the device if it is not working correctly, or you are unhappy with it for any reason. I would encourage you to bring it in to the store, and exchange it for another brand new device that is working correctly, while this option remains available.

Thank you,

Thanx. Only problem is I purchased the phone and then left the USA and

will be gone for a period of 3 weeks. I like the phone. But the issue

with not powering off is irritating, especially when I'm traveling. If I

can back-up the phone to my Verizon storage, I'll try a hard reset when I

return to the USA.....
