Editing contacts issue

Hello,

I just recently moved from Sprint to Verizon.

I just purchased the Note 7 and logged in to my Google account and all of my Google contacts are now on my phone which is great!

I set the contacts to "Google" only. When I create a new contact, it automatically saves it to Google. Again, great!

Here is the problem. When I edit an existing contact, the contact apps default to "Phone", and I have to manually select the radio button for Google. Not Great!

Why is the app defaulting to the phone when I edit a contact? I do not want any numbers stored on the phone's memory except as Google contacts. I also do not want to use the Verizon cloud.

(I have deleted and deactivated the Verizon cloud as I am NOT interested in it).

Is this a bug, or am I missing a setting some where?

Thanks!!
