Deleted update assistant

I deleted Verizon Update Assistant trying to ID a problem on my laptop.  I would like to reinstall but cannot find the files.  I see it should install automatically, and I get the popup asking to install the software when I plug my phone in, but nothing happens when I select install.  Another popup shows up in a few minutes without this option again asking what I want to do when my phone is plugged in.  Any advice on how to get the update and repair assistant back?

speygeek,

I am sorry for all the inconvenience you are having with your phone. It sounds like you are needing to install drivers for your phone so that your computer recognizes the device when plugged in. I went to the Samsung website and chose support and went to downloads http://bit.ly/1dQiWYF. This will provide the drivers you will need for your computer. Another application that Samsung supports and provides service to is Kies http://bit.ly/1mptPW3. This allows you manager the information on your device from the computer.

Hello speygeek,

Backup Assistant is an amazing program for staying sync'd up, especially while on the go. I'm confident that together we can get this taken care of for you. Let's start with what computer and operating system do you have? Also, is backup assistant working properly on your wireless device? If either one of these are providing you with an issue then please advise as this may be the root cause to the computer issue.

Thank you...

Thanks for your reply. My problem is with update/repair assistant, not

backup assistant. Can you help me with update assistant?

Hi speygeek!

Thanks for clarifying that the issue is not with Backup Assistant. I researched Update Assistant and found that it is something for your PC (You mentioned in your previous post that this was done on your laptop) Please let me know if this is an issue with your laptop or your Verizon Wireless device.

Thanks!

Should be able to find it with quick search of Google (or prefered search engine).

It is a program that Verizon installs on my PC to handle all updates for my

Note II. I have searched for it and cannot find it; Verizon claims it will

install when I plug in my phone to my laptop, but this does not occur.

This is the program used by Verizon to handle updates for Samsung phones.

Why am I having to explain this to the Verizon customer service?
