The S7 was released last spring and the S8 will be available in FEB/MAR. The Note 5 over is a year old and you are asking full price.

Think about it like this when I try to take advantage of a device trade in the trade in is only available for new phones. Typically if the premium phone is 1 year old or less the trade in value is $300. If the phone is 2 years old the trade in value is $200, 3 years $100 and my 4 year old Note 2 is worth $0. Actually I found out today that the Note 3 doesn't have a trade in value for the current trade in promotions.

So if the trade in promotions are tiered like this I have to consider what the value will be next year when the Note 8 is available. The longer these phones sit on the shelves the more they depreciate. IMHO

I had so much trouble with Samsung and Verizon that i still have the original note 7. Could not get a replacement. And now all have been recalled.
