I dropped my phone this morning, and when I picked it up, the screen was all cracked. I have had the phone for a little over a year now, and I am under a two-year contract. Verizon allowed me to upgrade early last year when I had problems with my Droid X2. Am I able to upgrade early to a new phone now, instead of paying to get a refurbished phone? I plan on upgrading with Verizon anyways, so I am just wondering if I can upgrade now?

anonymuss, we love seeing our customers with the latest/greatest devices. When you're not eligible to upgrade, you can purchase a new device at full price with this option: http://vz.to/ZILXBT Additionally, you can also file an insurance claim if your device is lost, stolen, or damaged. You can get a discount upgrade when your contract ends. If you don't have insurance your other option is to pay full price for a phone or get a used one from ebay/craigslist or a friend/relative.

First off, you can upgrade at any time. Verizon will not give you a "discounted" upgrade until you complete your contract, especially since it appears you upgraded early last time. They may think this looks as if a pattern is starting to form.
