I thought there was a setting like this somewhere, but I can't find it. I essentially want to not receive calls while I'm asleep at a specified block of time. Can anyone tell me if this is possible?

That's a wonderful question, idyotako! The blocking mode feature is currently not available on the Verizon Wireless Galaxy Note 2. This feature would allow for the specified times to block calls. I do want to advise that we have a call and message block if you would like to block a specific number over a long period of time. http://vz.to/18ABpH9

If it's not an option on the phone itself, look into the Do Not DIsturb app
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cabooze.buzzoff
It allows you to set times to keep the phone quiet, and also set certain numbers to always ring through, if you want.
