I would check with Corporate Store it may be possible they'll help ya,  I can't guarantee it but it's worth the asking since Asurion does not have any stock of this Unit.. being as New as it is..

I'm sorry to hear about your phone being damaged Hannam86. I know its hard to be without a working device. Did Asurion offer you an alternate model phone? Our stores cannot replace your phone via insurance. They can only sell you a new phone for full price.

I can understand exactly how you feel. I'd feel the same way of my phone wasn't working and I needed a replacement. Do you have a spare phone that we can help activate in the mean time?

I lost my iphone 6 on Dec. 20, 2014, and filed phone claim at Asurion on Dec. 21, 2014. After 24 hrs review, Asurion asked me to complete my claim and when I logged to complete my claim for replacement, I got backorder message. I contacted the customer care at Asurion and they said me that there in no model of iphone 6 or 6 plus (no GB, no color) is available in their inventory. Now my phone replacement is on backorder and its uncertain too because they can not guarantee the availability of device. So  the last thing that I need to do is just wait  for their back order shipment. The worst part is that I am still paying for nothing ......

gsailen,

Oh my! I'm sorry to hear your phone broke. I know it's important to receive a replacement, having insurance is definitely a good thing. I definitely apologize for the inconvenience caused by the insurance company not having the device model available right now. We want to provide you with options in the meantime. If you have another phone, old VZW phone or a phone you can borrow from a friend/family memeber, you can activate it online; here's how http://vz.to/1DIELsP. You can also suspend the service while you receive a replacement, this http://vz.to/1JQrwH9 will provide you with the information you need.

Great question gsailen. I searched and doesn't look like the Xperia C model is compatible with our network; I only see the Xperia Play and Z3. It needs to be a Verizon Wireless phone, but you can definitely check with the device ID here http://vz.to/16QIhCN, though some features may not be available if you're able to activate it.

I find this dubious considering you can get the phone from any Verizon Wireless store, the VZW website, Bestbuy, and Amazon with no trouble.

I think what's happening here is that Assurion does not want to fork over the cash to get one for this customer.

Assurion is well compensated for the role they play.  They add $10 per month to our phone bills and then get another $150 when we file a claim.  I have carried Assurion coverage for as long as I have had a Smartphone and I think the last phone I got from them was a Blackberry Storm 2, so Assurion has made a lot of money off of me.

Come on Verizon, take care of your customer.  Either give them a new phone or force Assurion to pry $700 out of their death grip fingers.
