Samsung states they will issue a $25 credit, either a gift card or bill credit with exchange of the recalled Note 7. How is this handled?

After the recall, and finally getting replacement phones I definitely understand you wanting to get any credits due. The accessory purchase must be on the same order as the new Samsung device purchase. If not, you can contact customer care via *611 or 800-922-0204, and even reach out to us via social media here ( http://bit.ly/1QnG2w1 http://on.fb.me/1Q4fG0a ) in order to be reimbursed.

The post says for gift card, in store accessories or bill credit. To tell you the truth I waited in the store so long (3 hours) to get the new Note 7 I completely forgot to ask about it and nothing was offered to me.

Some people got the $25 credit on their bill during the exchange. I guess it all depends on what store and what rep helped you. Me, I did not get the $25 credit and i had to pay the taxes again for the exchange. Very inconsistant return process everywhere.

I was credited for the two payments I had made on the payment plan, then the 24 month plan started over for the new device. I did not have to pay sales tax, but didn't receive the $25 credit either.
