Is it possible to get the lg env3 as a prepaid phone if you pay the full retail price? I was wondering also how do you get the

10$ month unlimited texting plan?

You cannot use the enV3 as a prepaid device.  Any device that requires a data package (3GMM and smartphones) are not eligible to be used on prepaid service.

I don't think there is a $10 unlimited texting feature...  There is an unlimted texting add-on, but I believe it costs $20/month.

The $10.00 text plan is unlimited texting to verizon to verizon plus 250 texts for any other providers. Just call customer service and ask for the ten dollar text plan.  1-888-294-6804

The only messaging plans available are:

5000 messages pluus unlimited mobile to mobile messaging  - $20

500 messages plus unlimited mobile to mobile messaging  -$10

250 messages in and out -$5

Verizon got rid of the $15 messaging plan quite a while ago. As said before, Env3 will not work on prepaid. However you may want to look into the Env2. That phone can be used on prepaid.

This is sort of a copy and paste from someone who had the same question awhile back. But here it goes:

On November 9th of 2009 I went to the Verizon store up the street. I told the clerk that since I do alot more texting than talking, I wanted to buy an LG enV3 and continue my InPulse prepay plan. I was previously using the Samsung u340 which is a royal pain in the scrotum to text on.

He tried his best to sell me into a "plan" but I had the cash and would'nt budge. So I told him to just sell me the enV3 and if he could not activate it on InPulse that I would Lay out the cash for that $400 rip off, er "deposit" and do a "plan".

He got it activated on my InPulse plan, same number, same amount of money I had left over, plus I added 30 bucks to the account. Thats the good news........

The bad is that whereas on my Samsung u340 I could log into and use Yahoo Messenger, I cannot do that on the enV3 on prepay. When I try to log into YM I get an error code 26 saying "This service not available to prepay subscribers". Come on Verizon !!!! Stop the crap !!! I wanna use YM on prepay !!!

I can browse the web on the enV3 with prepay but it takes 99cents out of my account for every 24 hours I do so.

So in short YES it is possible. I keep the $20 unlimited texting bundle on it though. Hope this helps you.

In November 2009 the ENV3 did not require the data plan but after January 18th 2010 it does require data so you cannot use it on prepaid.  Need to get a plan and pay the $9.99 data fee to have that phone now.  Mary
