Please open the 4G LTE Network Extenders to allow 'Preferred Access'

Please allow preferred access capabilities for the Samsung 4G LTE Network Extender customer to allow certain cell phone numbers in and to block others. I did not purchase this device to act as a Verizon cell tower for anyone to use in my complex. There are currently 5 people on my Extender and I have my phone off.

Please fix this ASAP. This is a BIG problem for those of us who live in a dense area and get kicked out of the device we purchased. I have never bought a hardware product that was rendered useless due to a software issue.

I can understand it's important to be able to have the whitelist functionality on your 4G Network Extender in order to make sure you get preferred access, harphaulingdad. We have lifted this issue up to Samsung and advised that the whitelist feature is needed for the new version of this accessory.

It is not called Preferred Access it is called a White List. You can add just the MDN's you want to add and only those MDN's are able to access the Network Extender.

Not sure if being rude or just trying to clarify what I was meaning. either way, your response wasn't necessary. I'm sure tech support at Verizon gets what I am asking. Sure, without using layman's terminology it is called a White List.

the point I was making is that the newer 4G LTE Extenders that Samsung has made for Verizon do not have that functionality.

The other point I am making is that it is like buying a hamburger for yourself at the drive thru and by the time you pull up to the second window, after paying at the first, the hamburger has been eaten and a hamburger club has been formed by the staff and they won't let you in their club. You are left with nothing and the hamburger club gets all the benefits of what you just paid for.

That is essentially what is happening. Everyone else is benefiting from my Extender and I am not allowed on it when I get me from work because there are too many people in my surrounding area with Verizon devices.

I hope that was technical enough for you.

I'm going to add myself as someone who experiences this problem.  I live in a large apartment complex and the building blocks all cell signals.  I installed my network extender.  It constantly drops the connection to my phone.  I'm not sure if the device is defective or if its over capacity since everyone with a verizon phone around my unit is getting a piece of my $250 investment.  I'd like to limit their access or be able to charge them for it.

Please find a way to implement white list, preferred access, restricted access or whatever the F you want to call it.  Had I known it lacked this capability I probably would have found a better use for my $250 as wifi calling work better.

I too would like to voice my request to implement managed access for the 4G LTE Network Extender. I recently purchased the extender to help with getting a better signal in my apartment. While I do not mind other customers using the extender, I do have an issue with my phone not having a priority on it.

I do want to note that you can control the transmit power for the device from the web portal. I have mine set at 20% (I have a small studio.) At this time of writing I am the only one connected to it. So that could be a way to limit others from connecting to it.

Yes! Priority access is necessary for my situation as well. Verizon clearly states this functionality on the support site. Verizon, please allow managed access in some form.

We would love to help you set up your Network Extender. In order to do so, we would need access to your account. This way, we can see if we can set up mobile numbers you want to access your Extender. Please meet us in Facebook at, Facebook.com/Verizon or in Twitter @VZWSupport.

This feature still is not available. Here is their response:

"The 4G LTE Network Extender only supports open mode at this time. Managed mode is being evaluated, Verizon makes no warranty as to its timing or availability."
