increased phone bill

I have been trying to get in contact with Verizon to discuss why my bill has increased more than 100% in the last 2 months.  I thought it as because I was out of the country for a short time, but 2 months later the bill has elevated.  They are not responding to chats on their site, I was waiting for someone over 20 minutes at #611, and I am fed up.  I know it is time to move on from Verizon
