how much would it be for a family of four all on smart phones

Member

right now we pay about 154 a month for one smart phone and one regular phone. Does anyone know how much the bill would be if the whole family was on the smart phones sharing data?

Multiple factors determine your actual bill.  How much data?  Assuming you are buying the phones on contract, the cost is $40 x 4 smartphones, or $160.00, plus whatever data bucket you think you might need, let'd say 10GB for $80.  Total would be $240.00 plus taxes and fees, so round up to about $260.00.

That doesn't factor in the cost of the phones - and that could range from "free" to $300 each, depending on the deals available and your phone selections.  Add a $30 upgrade fee (one time) per line, and it's quite a chunk of change to start.

If you  use EDGE to pay for the phones over time, you'll save $25 per line as a discount for being on EDGE; that's likely to be offset by the monthly cost of the phone, so your bill would come out the same.  $140 for the plan, and $100, more or less, for the phones.

Hope this helps - if you give more specific information about which phones, which plan, and how you intend to pay for the phones, we can give more specific plan information and costs.
