I visited your store with my husband at the end of May and was assisted by Patrick.
I bought a Galaxy S9 for $600, a trio of accessories for $100 and switched over my number from Sprint. Date 5/26/19 order # XXXXX location D222501 is the receipt for my accessories and adding a line.
The phone cost of $600 is added to account XXXXXXXX.
He informed me of the $200 rebate gift card I would get for switching over to Verizon and gave me a post it note with the web address. We had trouble transferring over my calendar – I ended up coming back the next day but still not successful and the end result I had to hand type my entire calendar over for the year from one phone to the other.
I went online filled out the rebate info and sent it in. I have a print out of my tracking # but there was no mention of requirements etc. I assumed all was well.
Up to this point I was happy I made the switch.
Until I received an email the other day advising me I am not eligible for the $200 gift card as I don’t have the right plan. Huh ? I left work and drove directly to the store and Patrick was there. I explained the situation – showed him my reject email and his response was “Gee – sorry guess I was wrong.”
So I am out $200 because he either lied to make the sale or is ignorant of the product offerings of the products he represents? I am on an 8GB plan with my husband, which he had increased from I believe 2 or 4 that day when he added me to his plan in the store.
I feel scammed. Please help to resolve this matter as I feel cheated due to employee error.
i doubt very seriously if corporate will do anything, you did buy a used phone & i'm betting the rebate was with a new phone.
do your homework before you rely on someone like patrick.
actually it was a brand new phone I bought at store not a used one.
at last night the situation was resolved ! I had found a site online yesterday elliott.org -- they give contact info for all companies -- i emailed the primary contact for Verizon with my situation - -she handed me off to a trouble specialist and after speaking with them last night -- they credited my Verizon account with the $200 and emailed me a follow up outlining the details of our call. Miracles do happen and it renewed my confidence in the company for admitting the store error and making the situation right immediately. so my 2 month journey of chasing the rebate team etc has come to a happy ending.
any ideas on how to reach corporate ?
The official correspondence address is listed under the Contact Us link at the top of every Verizon Wireless web page. It is also listed on your bill.
I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.
