dchurch, making sure that you are not receiving spam calls are crucial, and I'm here to help! I'm not a fan of pesky calls either. Robocalls are something that unfortunately is becoming way too common. These robocalls are not affiliated in any way with Verizon Wireless. Our Verizon Call Filter ( http://spr.ly/6183DN185 ) is a great app at recognizing/screening unwanted calls. We do have some other recommendations that may curb the annoying calls. We suggest that you register on the National Do Not Call Registry http://spr.ly/6189D2hJf. If you are not having success with our Call Filter feature, you can look for a possible 3rd party app that may have the blocking/screening capabilities that you're looking for. One other thing you may want to do is file a complaint with the FCC. Here's their link http://spr.ly/6189D2huD. Lastly, I know that changing your number isn't the most favorable option, but it might be something to consider. You can do that for free right from your My Verizon account http://spr.ly/6180D2hJA. I'm confident that at least one of my suggestions will help.
I receive at least 5 robocalls every day. I contacted the CLEC Onvoy about massive amounts of robocalls that I receive from their DIDs. They referred me to a subpoena email address for their customer (VoIPStreet) that the DIDs are assigned to. I have zero hope that the business will do anything but send more robocalls my way. Is there a Verizon email address your customers can add, along with the firstname.lastname@example.org, to emails to robocall scammers? Something that can give our complaints some teeth? I would love to think that Verizon values their customers enough to go to bat for them...
zwright, robocalls and spam calls are never fun and we all experience them from time to time. Keep in mind that we do offer ways to combat these calls. Trust me, I totally understand how you feel and I am just as annoyed by the calls myself. Check out the link below for more details about the feature we offer that will help alleviate the calls. Let us know what you think.
Thank you for the information. I am aware of your application and will check it out. Could you please answer my question as to whether there is a point-of-contact / email address that your customers can include when reaching out to Blitz telecom (Florida) or VoipInnovations (PA) that own and assign the DID's to spammers?
This is great, so in the mean time we just have to put up with these creeps calling us. I have the worst one now, they call with my number as the calling number, every hour on the hour. I have had to turn the rinnger off on my phone. I cannot stop them.
I'm glad to hear that you are aware of our great Call Filter service, zwright. Apologies but we do not have a point of contact or email address to furnish you. However, here's more about what we are doing to combat robocalling (including details about the previously mentioned Call Filter service): http://spr.ly/6600ElIys Here's more details about the initiatives from the FTC: http://spr.ly/6601ElIyt Does this help?
Oh no! We certainly want to make sure you stop getting bothered by these calls. We have an application called Call Filter that helps prevent these calls from happening. JasonC_VZW
