I have been with Verizon for about 2-3 years now and have yet to earn any reward points.  Every time I called I was never told that it was due to the fact that I was not the account owner, although I'm the one who pays the bill out of my bank account and I'm the one who has to authorize any additions to my account.  Finally, last week someone noticed it and we made the changes.  Today, I went into my account to redeem my points and now I am being told that again Verizon up is stating that I'm not the owner or manager so I do not have any points.  In speaking to the manager she said to call back in March to see if they have updated it by then.  She also stated that there's not plan to credit me back for lost points. In addition to this, I referred an new customer and never received my $50 reward visa card.  They could not give me an answer for that as well.

At this point it feels like this is an advertising scam!!

While anyone can make payments on any account, you must be listed as account owner in order to get certain benefits with the Verizon Up program (http://spr.ly/6585EPXpx). When did you submit your referral online?
Did the new customer that you referred to us open an account with Verizon Wireless within 30 days of your online referral submission?
Was the requirement for the new account to be in good standing (no late payments) for 45 days met?
