I have same problem. My account was opened as a Corporate Account under GTE Wireless, taken over by Alltel, and finally by Verizon. Several years ago I lost most access to the account by being downgraded to Account Member. I am the only person on the account, receive and pay the bills. I stopped at a local Verizon office but their computer system was down and she could not even bring up my account - told me to call *611. I did this and after talking to three different people the rep unregistered my account and told me to re-register it. I did get her to change my credit card number for Auto Bill-pay, which was the main item i was unable to accomplish as an Account Member. I re-registered the account and the only option was Account Member so it's back exactly as before with no Owner or Manager.
