Safe Wi-Fi is a downloadable app that safeguards your connection on network-enabled devices using a VPN (Virtual Private Network). Safe Wi-Fi protects your privacy and blocks ad tracking, creating a secure Wi-Fi connection anywhere in the world.
I've been on Verizon for over 10 years and always look at the charges each month. This month's bill showed a new charge of $3.99 for Safe Wi-fi. Since I hadn't asked for it I contacted Verizon and was told it would be removed. The rep asked if I wanted to file a Fraud Inquiry to which I agreed. A few hours later I received an email stating there was no fraud.
Nevertheless I'd like to know exactly how and why Safe Wi-fi was added to my plan without my consent. This seems totally illegal.
