Attempting to pay bill online does not function correctly. Maybe it's me. Maybe it's the online system. Do not yet know. There are two checking accounts to use. I choose one of the accounts. Verizon uses the other account to pay the bill. This has happened twice. The confirmation page looks correct. When the actual transaction happens, the wrong checking account is billed. Has anyone else experienced this?
Are you using the web site with a laptop or desktop to make your payments or are you using the mobile app? Your issue certainly is strange assuming you have checked and double-checked the account numbers and routing info.
That would be odd it would bill another account. Are you processing the payment using the nickname of the payment method only? Have you tried deleting the other account that is not being used so it is only processed through one payment source?
